On the 15th of each month, I host an artist, designer, or any other professional who contributes to the promotion and support of these trades.

We don't talk about the creative process – certainly fascinating, but already explored in other media. We discuss management, strategy, communication – in short, how the magic happens. behind the scenes.

Season 4 Episode 2 • Interview • Design as a pretext to tell stories, with Anthony Guerrée

When we listen Anthony Guerrée talking about his all-consuming passion for reading and his fascination with Proust, one might believe he's a literature researcher.

When you listen to him quote Bourdelle Whoever said that «sculpture is drawing in all directions», one might believe they are also a sculptor.

When you listen to him explain his creative process, you might think he's a straightforward artist.

And finally, there's a bit of all of that in his approach to design.

Trained at’Boulle School, Anthony first joined the Studio Andrée Putman, before continuing his journey with Christophe Delcourt.

With these 10 years of experience in these two agencies, he founded his creative studio in 2020 and was noticed with a first singular collection, «The Lost Time Sessions».

I told you he was fascinated by Proust!

In this episode, we obviously spoke about:

  • From their agency experience; ;
  • Of its business model, and its foundation; ;
  • And its entire international ecosystem – the artisans, the makers, the publishers, all of whom he considers partners.

But even though he works alone, Anthony Guerrée is very well supported.

He's keen on this independence, this freedom, and I understand that so much!

I thank Marie le Cerf, founder of the agency Front row, for this meeting.

Season 4 Episode 1 • interview • Embodying your brand, with Clémence Cahu

Stylist & creative director for press and advertising, self-proclaimed «Conductor of Creation and Image»., Clémence Cahu is also the founder of the luxury leather goods brand CAHU.

In 2018, she created the handbag of her dreams, to meet a need. Because as she says, «at CAHU, function dictates form».

And this bag – the perfect tote bag, in a way – is recognisable by its PVC canvas, used for the bouncy castles made in the family factory in Normandy.

In this episode, Clemence It unfolds with great transparency, and also maturity and humour.

We talked:

– of her journey, which began early, even before she graduated; ;

– of the evolution of their role and the different hats they wear; ;

– of its business model for the brand; ;

– of his team; ;

– and the numerous collaborations that make up the DNA of CAHU and allow Clémence to renew herself and challenge herself each time.

And throughout our conversation, the Cahu family is obviously very present.

For beyond this name, which has become a brand, commerce and ingenuity flow as much in their veins as on this coloured PVC canvas.

Series 3 Episode 8 • solo • english • Creative Management • managing through creativity

Creative Management.

Management through Creativity.

For some, this is almost an oxymoron.

But these two words are in fact complementary, even inseparable.

In this solo episode in English, I address topics that I am deeply keen on bringing to light and sharing:

🧰 Soft skills

🧰 Creativity in particular, and how to harness it

🧰 Management, and how to enhance it with Creativity

I’ve developed training material and workshops around this dear theme of mine, both in French and English.
Happy to discuss it with you if you’re willing to benefit from it ✨

The podcast is hosted by @ausha_fr and available on all listening platforms

Series 3 Episode 7 • interview • Freedom as a leitmotif, with Kenza Sadoun el Glaoui

The professions of influence, and therefore their remuneration, are codified and mainly indexed on the community created and its engagement.

Nano-influence is spoken of below 5,000 followers, and micro-influence up to 100,000.

At the very top of this pyramidal structure are the celebrities or «all stars», who exceed one million subscribers.

And in between, there are macro-influencers.

Kenza Sadoun El Glaoui is part of it.

While I usually subscribe to nano or micro accounts, I’ve been following Kenza since she launched her blog in 2008, because she is one of the pioneers in France.

Content creator present on YouTube, Instagram and TikTok, she also has a completely quirky Instagram account where she shares photos a priori unprintable in which she is far from showing her best side. The kind of photos you certainly wouldn't want to circulate.

That is what I love about Kenza. Her authenticity, her transparency, her humour.

And her aesthetics of course, because I wouldn't follow her account if I weren't drawn to her visual and written content, and to the brands she associates with.

Together, we covered many topics, including:

✨ Balancing her 3 activities as she isn't just a content creator; she also organises events Hands Down, and recently founded the women's circle Adelphia Society ;

✨ Being self-employed in France and everything that entails; ;

✨ The balance between work and personal life, with two children; ;

✨ The values that drive her and are at the heart of everything she undertakes.

Season 3 Episode 6 • solo • Creative Management • the impact of team-building

I wrapped up Season 2 with a solo episode titled Creative Management — le Management par la Créativité.

It is a concept that I am developing more and more in my coaching, whether individual or group.

You can discover or listen back to this episode here 🎤🎧

Today, I suggest we delve deeper into one of the aspects of Creative Management: team building.

What is team building?

Literally, it's team building.

This helps to strengthen and consolidate ties within a team.

In this episode, I share:

⛓️ Examples of team-building activities I have participated in; ;

⛓️ The pillars of the team-building events I offer; ;

The expected effects; ;

⛓️ My summer series, which has a real connection to the subject ⚽️

Season 3 Episode 5 • interview • Walking away to know where to go, with Virginie Van Gysegem

Virginie van Gysegem is the founder of Poupette Biscuits.

She makes bespoke biscuits, and also offers creative workshops in her Lab/Workshop which has been open since May in Paris in the 11th arrondissement, at 44 rue Richard Lenoir.

Whilst one might think that this passion stemmed from childhood and that she used to bake with her mother or grandmother, the idea of making artisanal biscuits came to her rather later in life, right in the middle of a career change following a background in television production and then the music industry.

From her past experience, Virginie has retained her rock 'n' roll edge, creativity and daring.

To create Poupette, Funky Biscuits, she added a good dose of authenticity and great precision, all sprinkled with an enormous amount of joy.

Poupette is lovely, and it tastes great! But like any entrepreneurial adventure, it isn't always simple.

To be completely transparent, we spoke:

From his lack of an initial business plan — but his unwavering motivation; ;

Profitability, which can be difficult to achieve for this business model; ;

Behind the scenes ;

And of everything that deeply drives it, which explains the rapid development of Poupette, launched barely 3 years ago.

Series 2 Episode 8 • interview • Continuing to grow the family business, with Thomas Salomon

Grandson of Grégory Salomon, a fur merchant and supplier to the major fashion houses, and son of’Yves Salomon, who transformed the family business into a luxury brand, Thomas Salomon is much more than just a famous offspring.

When I went to their office-workshops at 3 Cité Paradis in Paris, I didn't meet Yves. But I had the feeling he was there.
Thomas has been working alongside his father for 20 years, and has naturally found his place — with complete legitimacy thanks to his hard work, dedication and vision.

In this interview, Thomas tells us in particular:

🪡 How he joined the company with his first internship, which almost didn't happen!

🪡 His collaboration with his father and the division of roles

🪡 Brand positioning and development, strategic choices and the shifts they had to make to ensure their stability

We talked about figures, we talked about retail and wholesale, and of course we also talked about fur, which is very controversial.
And the Resource Pact, which signs the house's commitment to transparent, ethical and responsible production.

Thomas Salomon is the embodiment of the fact that a French luxury house rooted in tradition and craftsmanship can — and must — innovate continuously, and become more agile, both in terms of creation and at an operational level, in order to endure for many decades to come.

Season 2 Episode 7 • interview • Entrepreneurial daring, with Adrien Gloaguen

Adrien Gloaguen is a hotelier and the founding president of the group Tourist and of Liberté Campsites.

With currently 7 hotels in Paris, 1 campsite in Landrellec in Brittany and another in Lacanau in Gironde, the aim is, to quote them: «to welcome travellers and tourists in the best possible setting, to offer them the best possible experience, at the fairest price».

Adrien started very young, in an extremely competitive sector dominated by major hotel groups.

By taking the opposite approach to this market, he innovated by offering something a little quirky, with particularly excellent value for money, and by calling upon interior designers right from the start.

And since then, he has won the respect of the entire profession.

Among other things, together we discussed:
– concerning the identity, values and independence of the group he founded; ;
– of the team working alongside him, which continues to grow; ;
– and hospitality sector indicators.

Adrien Gloaguen is a bold, curious and respectful entrepreneur — and clearly a cool tourist, and proud of it!

Season 2 Episode 6 • solo • How and why I launched my own business

I started this podcast almost a year and a half ago and I very much enjoy it.

I initially wanted to offer a good balance of French and English content — however, being in France, I have to say that we mostly have a French-speaking audience so I opted for satisfying the greatest number 😉

But I love speaking English and I’m all for being more and more inclusive.
So, here’s to my English-speaking audience all over the world!

And to the French who enjoy the podcast so much and wish to practise their English, that they’re up for listening to this solo summer episode 🙂

When I launched the podcast in March 2023, the first episode was a way of introducing myself and giving a little background.

This is what this solo episode is about, with an extra flavour. Enjoy!

Series 2 Episode 5 • interview • Aligning your activities with your core values, with Lili Barbery-Coulon

As she says in her book Reconciliation (published by Marabout in 2019), «we are not the job we do».
And that is just as well, because despite our attempts, we don't really know how to define her job. Because she has several.
Journalist, author, yoga and meditation teacher, event organiser,... Lili Barbery-Coulon is in some way a transmission channel.
She communicates her vision and her values; she leads the way, she prompts introspection; she shares what is good and beautiful.

Given that she had already spoken about her journey and written on the subject, we began by discussing mindfulness, in order to leave even more room for spontaneity during our interview.
That being said, Lili and I discussed things at length, and we had the opportunity to talk in detail about her activities and her business model, but also:
Concentration in the digital age ;
Of emotions; ;
Influential; ;
Personal branding and how to embody it; ;
And of his desire to place doubt back at the centre of his thinking.

Series 1 Episode 9 • interview • How to work in fashion without participating in a polluting industry, with Marina Dias

Freelance designer specialising in leather clothing and accessories design, Marina Dias has been the brand's artistic director since 2020 Cordiz.
Luxury French leather goods maker Cordiz was founded by her father, Flavien Dias, in 1988.

After being dormant for a few years, the brand is being revived under the impetus of Marina, who designs very limited-edition models and takes part in strategic discussions with her father, with the aim of offering an environment — for work and for the planet — that is ecological for everyone.
Their wish is to create a new paradigm of conscious consumption and production — hence the Cordiz tagline, «for bags that stand the test of time».

Marina left Paris 6 years ago to live on the Landes coast and she tells us in particular how her new life enables her to be much more in tune with her fundamental needs.
She regularly travels back and forth to Paris — because you never really leave Paris! — but if I chose to interview her at her home in Seignosse, it’s because it’s my favourite region.

We covered many topics, such as:
– working in fashion without living in Paris
– the advantages and challenges of a family business
- her methodology as a freelance designer working for several brands, as well as for the family business
– his leadership within a freelance team
– the difficulties in recruiting and retaining craftspeople, and keeping precious skills alive
– communication and collaboration with the agency Frontrow Paris

Series 1 Episode 8 • interview • From multi-skilling to the creation of a unique boutique, with Olivia da Costa

Olivia da Costa — AKA Olivia du Please is the root cause of Please Magazine, Please radio, and more recently Politeness, which she designed as an emanation of Please.

Pleaseness is first and foremost an e-shop, it was a pop-up at Printemps Haussmann, and for the last few months it's been a shop, located at 33 rue d'Hauteville in the 10th arrondissement of Paris.

It features a selection of vintage accessories, which Olivia spends a lot of time hunting for.
And it's really true to her image — it's glossy, graphic and colourful, with just the right amount of kitsch to ultimately be super edgy.

A collector, obsessive, workaholic, perfectionist and full of energy, Olivia follows her desires.
«That's my strength — I feel like doing something, bam! I do it»

Olivia has ultimately devoted her entire career to showing people and objects in their best light, so it is somewhat her turn to be in the spotlight now that she is in direct contact with customers in her three-dimensional jewellery box.

Series 1 Episode 7.2 • bonus • Coaching changed my life, with Ismérie

Following the interview with Ismérie, founder of the hair salon Atelier Ismérie, here is a bonus on a subject she was keen to discuss because it changed her life: coaching.

07

Season 1 Episode 7.1 • interview • Being creative, revealing yourself as an entrepreneur, becoming a manager — with Ismérie

With Ismérie, we talked about everything except hair.
And yet hair is her passion.
As she likes to define herself, she is a «hair lover» — a lover of hair.

In an interview filled with her sincerity, humour and humility, she tells us in particular how she was caught up by her destiny, how she started out in hairdressing before founding her eponymous salon @atelier_ismerie 10 years ago, her entrepreneurial struggles and her management mistakes.

What fascinates me about Ismérie is her agility — her flexibility, her ability to listen to those around her and her team, to question herself and learn from her mistakes, to make decisions quickly and to dare.
And her ability to connect. What appeals to her clientele, which has become her community, is obviously her talent and sense of service, but it is also a relaxed, natural and accessible style.

Ismérie has surrounded herself with equally wonderful people, driven by the same values:
💇‍♀️ Ambrine @ambrinegrs
🔥 Clémence @clemence_flamme
🎨 Lucas @lucas_coloriste
✂️ Marc-Antoine @marc_antoined
